Jamar Opakowania was founded in 1984 in Tychy, southern Poland. Four decades later, we still do the same thing — design and manufacture decorative packaging — for Polish manufacturers, European retailers, and brands that ship a box and want it to arrive looking like the product inside.

Story
From a workshop to a manufacturer.
Jamar started in 1984 as a print and finishing workshop, run by one family in Tychy, in industrial southern Poland. Through the 1980s and 1990s we did what most Polish print shops did then: whatever paid the bills. By the mid-1990s the work had narrowed to one specialty — decorative paper packaging — and we started investing in the machines that work still requires.
The flocking line came in 1991 and is still part of what we are known for: velvet-feel interiors on jewellery and watch boxes, finished to a quality that holds up against any European supplier. In 2008 a second production hall opened, which made industrial-scale runs realistic. In 2022 we modernised the floor again, brought design in-house, and set a 70%+ recycled-content baseline across the product line.
Today we are still a family business. Same building, same long-tenured employees on the floor, same family at the top. The biggest difference between 1984 and today is that we now make a hundred thousand boxes in the time we used to make a hundred — and the boxes are better.
How we work
Three principles, plainly stated.
Quality first.
100% inspection at every production stage. We would rather hold a delivery for an hour than ship cartons that miss spec.
Flexibility second.
Runs from 50 to 100,000 units, on the same machines, with the same process. Small clients get the same care as the large ones.
Ecology built in.
70%+ recycled materials by default. Paper from European mills. No optional sustainability tier — it is the standard tier.

Founded Jamar in 1984. Runs the company day-to-day and still signs off every prototype before production.

Head of Design
Joined the family business in 2008. Leads the in-house design team and the brief-to-prototype process.

Head of Production
Runs the production floor across 21 machines and three shifts. Started on the cutting line in 1996.

Head of Quality and Logistics
Owns the QC stages and the dispatch process. Joined in 2014 from automotive packaging.

Reach
Polish clients, European reach.
Most of our work ships within Poland — manufacturers, jewellers, cosmetics brands, tableware producers, food and confectionery brands. Beyond Poland, we have regular shipments to Germany, the Czech Republic, France, the UK, the Nordics, and the Middle East. We invoice in PLN and EUR, with VAT-reverse-charge for EU B2B buyers.

Sustainability
Ecology is not a project — it is the default.
We work with paper and board from European mills. Our standard recycled-content target is 70%+ across the product line. Specific projects can be specified higher on request. Detail, certifications, and policy are on the Sustainability page.
